Four Limerick area schools will soon be benefiting from broadband speeds similar to those that are being offered to high-end national and multinational companies following the launch of a new project today.
Minister for Communications Eamon Ryan today launched the “100mpbs Post Primary Schools Project”, a scheme which will aim to deliver high-speed broadband connectivity to second level schools across the country.
The first 78 schools taking part in the Project were announced by the Minister at the Digital Hub Learning Studio in Dublin this morning and they include Castletroy College in Castletroy, Crescent College Comprehensive in Dooradoyle, Colaiste Chiarain in Croom and Presentation Secondary School on Sexton Street in Limerick City.
The Department of Communications says it has begun a tender process for broadband service providers and expects “numerous service providers will be involved”.

I think i’ve seen this somewhere before…but it’s not bad at all
