A convicted Limerick criminal has filed a complaint with the Press Ombudsman of Ireland, angry at reports that he was involved in the murder of Roy Collins.
Solicitor for 31 year old Wayne Dundon said in a statement that there are “some sections” of the press that have already found his client guilty, without any evidence or trial in relation to the death of the 35 year old businessman who was shot dead in April.
The complaint has been lodged on the grounds of “breaches of truth and accuracy” and “respect for rights”, his solicitor says. Peter Madden says his client was in prison when the father of two was shot and added Gardai have not interviewed Mr. Dundon about the murder.
The statement also says Mr. Dundon is also “considering other legal remedies” on the matter.
Mr. Dundon is serving a reduced 7 year sentence for threatening kill a cousin of Roy Collins.

he has a clever Solicitor :>) in actual fact, 99% of such criminals are more au fait with the law than the legal eagles themselves.
I presume if the Ombudsman rules that Mr Madden’s client’s rights were breached and his sensibilities and name damaged ,he will seek redress from the Courts, not unlike a recent high profile case.Indeed, it is possible his client may be released from prison earlier than expected. If that happens,Mr Madden,I’m certain, will assure me Limerick will be just as safe to live in or visit

Respect for his rights? What respect has this cretin ever paid to anyone else? The f*cking scumbags in this country are living in cloud cuckoo land. Hopefully common decency prevails and this scumbag gets f*cked out of court along with his “case”.
