Three people are in custody after an incident in which a teenager brandishing a sword caused panic at Limerick Circuit Court.
It was just before midday Tuesday when the 16 year old male who was involved in a row between two families, ran into the lobby of the court wielding the large sword.
Gardai on duty along with Gardai who were already in court for the days proceedings converged on the scuffle between the group of people and wrestled the sword from the teenager’s hands.
The young man was arrested after attempting to flee. Two other men who were involved in the fracas were also arrested. No one was believed to have been injured in the incident.
