Garda appeal for information following suspicious death

Image: Ballymakery, Kilcolman.Gardai probing the suspicious death of an elderly man in County Limerick last Friday have made an appeal for information.

Investigators say they are examining “all of the circumstances” surrounding the death of a 92 year old James Mulqueen at his home in Ballymakery, Kilcolman. His body was discovered around 11am Friday morning.

The scene has been examined by investigating Gardai and a post mortem examination was carried out by the Dept. State Pathologist. The man was believed to have been living alone.

An incident room has been set up at Rathkeale Garda Station and enquiries are said to be ongoing.

Gardai are very interested in talking to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the vicinity of Ballymakery between 10am on Thursday the 22nd of October and 10am on Friday 23rd to contact them at 069-63214.
