Investigations are underway into an apparent pipe bomb explosion in Limerick on Sunday night.

Gardai were called to the halting site on the Ballysimon Road around 9.45pm. It’s believed a device exploded after it was thrown into the site however there was no damage and nobody was injured.

The scene was sealed off immediately following the incident with local radio reports saying a number of “items” were removed from the scene for further technical examination.

Gardaí at Roxboro are investigating.

ara tis all hype, the will do fark all about it as usual. More *cough* planned operations this week where they usually seize something and also part of an *cough* ongoing effort to tackle crime. How can they tackle it when some of em (the boys in blue)are involved with those right at the centre of the criminal activity and it’s hushed up. It seems corruption really is rampant.
