A boil water notice that was in effect for around 500 residents in Montpelier, O’Briensbridge and Bridgetown has been lifted.
Officials said Monday afternoon that following “extensive testing” by Environmental Laboratory staff from both Limerick and Clare Councils, results have shown that the water being supplied is again meeting drinking water standards. The notice was put in place last Tuesday.
A previous boil water notice which was placed on the South West Regional Water Supply has also been lifted and there are now no current water alerts in Limerick city or county.
