A teenager is recovering in hospital after he was injured in a shooting in the county Sunday night.
The victim, a 17 year old, suffered shotgun pellet wounds to his body and face in the incident which happened along a road in Fedamore around 10.30pm.
Armed Gardai and ambulances from Limerick city were quickly on the scene and the injured man was taken to the regional hospital in Dooradoyle. His injuries are not life threatening.
Gardai were Monday morning trying to determine the motive behind the shooting and the number of people who were involved.
A forensic examination of the scene has taken place and Gardai say a full investigation has been launched.
