Man critical following Clarina crash

ClarinaA man in his fifties remains in a critical condition following a road accident in Clarina Wednesday morning.

Emergency services responded to the incident around 11.45am in which a car collided with a pole in the west Limerick village. The road was closed for a time and diversions were in place.

The male driver received emergency medical treatment at the scene before being rushed to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Dooradoyle.

Gardai are investigating.
